A Review on X-ray Excited Emission Decay Dynamics in Inorganic Scintillator Materials

چکیده
Scintillator materials convert high-energy radiation into photons in the ultraviolet to visible light region for detection. In this review, advances X-ray emission dynamics of inorganic scintillators are presented, including halides (alkali-metal halides, alkaline-earth rare-earth oxy-halides, oxyorthosilicates, halide perovskites), oxides (binary oxides, complex post-transition metal oxides), sulfides, doped scintillators, and organic-inorganic hybrid scintillators. The origin scintillation is strongly correlated host material dopants. Current models presented describing decay lifetime materials, with emphasis on short-lived component. whole charge generation de-excitation process analyzed general, an essential role kinetics process. We highlighted three mechanisms cross luminescence emission, exitonic dopant-activated respectively. Factors regulating different centers controlling discussed.

X-ray-Induced Secondary Electron Emission in Porous Materials
Electron emission induced by X-ray radiation in secondary-emission porous materials was investigated. © 2000 MAIK “Nauka/Interperiodica”. Secondary-emission porous materials are widely used as a working substance in electromagnetic and corpuscular radiation detectors [1–5]. The detection process in this case is governed by the interaction between primary radiation and a porous material, fastpri...
متن کاملA proton induced X-ray emission (PIXE) analysis of concentration of trace elements in varicose veins
Background: Proton induced X-ray emission (PIXE) has been applied as reliable and improved techniques in this study to compare concentration of various trace elements in normal and abnormal varicose veins. Materials and Methods: Five samples from normal veins and 13 samples from varicose veins bombarded by 2.0 MeV energy proton beams produced by a Van de Graff accelerator in vacuum. T...
متن کاملDUVEX: An X-ray counting system based on YAG:Ce scintillator
A detector system, called DUVEX, has been developed for the soft-x-ray and extreme ultraviolet domain. It consists in a YAG :Ce scintillator coupled to a photomultiplier module working under vacuum in counting mode. The design and the performances of this detector in terms of yield, absolute efficiency, response and noise are reported. Spectra in the soft x-ray range of different elements (W, A...
متن کاملX–ray Emission in Gamma-ray Blazars
As shown by Maraschi (this volume) the overall spectral energy distribution (SED) of the blazars detected by EGRET shows two peaks, in a ν–νF (ν) plot. With few exceptions, the minimum between these two peaks occurs in the X–ray range. We can exploit this observational fact to constrain the models proposed to account for the SED of blazars, and to reach an important conclusion: the conversion o...
متن کاملObserving Solvation Dynamics with Simultaneous Femtosecond X-ray Emission Spectroscopy and X-ray Scattering.
In liquid phase chemistry dynamic solute-solvent interactions often govern the path, ultimate outcome, and efficiency of chemical reactions. These steps involve many-body movements on subpicosecond time scales and thus ultrafast structural tools capable of capturing both intramolecular electronic and structural changes, and local solvent structural changes are desired. We have studied the intra...
